Jennifer described the incident as an assassination attempt on the politician saying he (Amaechi) has “continually disappointed the devices of the crafty.”

Videos made by passengers at the time of the turbulence went viral on social media with some supporters describing it as an assassination attempt on the life of the minister.

Rotimi Amaechi has been associated with the ongoing political tussle in the APC in his home, Rivers state. The political tussle has polarized the party with antagonizing factions and leaves an impending legal battle for who represents the party as the authentic gubernatorial flag-bearer.
